From bands dating back to the 70’s with Eros, Triffid, APB, The Big Block Blues Band and Rattail Jimmy. He is an established guitar player to say the least. Selling and working on guitars at Adirondack Strings. He created quite a following during his 26 year career at Hermie’s and now owning his own buisness. Alan is an Authorized Fender Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar and Electronics Technician. Trust that your instruments are in the most knowledgable hands in the business.

SCOTIA CINEMA (117 Mohawk Avenue), an independent sub run movie theater, opened in January 1929 as the Ritz Theater. In December 1981 it was purchased by current owner Richard Adams. The theater has undergone extensive renovations while trying to maintain its old fashioned neighborhood movie theater setting. “We obtain our films normally between 1 and 2 months after their opening date and charge an admission of about half of the area’s first-run theaters. Our concessions are also much more reasonably priced. Our goal is to provide a clean and cozy environment in which to view the latest movies at an affordable price.”
